Brooking: England decision moving on

Charlton boss Alan Curbishley, who is reportedly due for a second interview for the role, feels the uncertainty is having an adverse effect on Charlton’s season and wants to see a decision made as soon as possible.

Reports have also suggested that FA chief executive Brian Barwick is preparing to make a decision as early as next week.

But Brooking, who as the FA’s director of football development will be part of the selection committee, was giving nothing away. “It’s something we have to leave to Brian,” said Brooking. “It’s moving on and hopefully it will be resolved sooner rather than later.”
