Yorke in talks to end international exile
Trinidad and Tobago coach Bertille St Clair has indicated he would like the Blackburn striker on board this weekend when they face the Dominican Republic in a World Cup qualifier.
Yorke, 32, was persuaded to play in the second-half of the defeat by Northern Ireland in a friendly on Sunday.
St Clair was delighted to see him back and plans to speak to the player when the squad resumes training today.
“The Tobago people wanted to see him play and he came to me and said he would play.
“He came out here and made the people happy and now we will see what else will take place.”
Yorke’s long-term future at Ewood Park is clouded in doubt after the arrival of Paul Dickov from Leicester.
