ARSENE WENGER admitted he cannot guarantee Thierry Henry will be at Arsenal next season due to FIFA rule changes enabling players to buy out the final year of their contracts.

However, the Gunners boss remains convinced he can persuade his captain to sign a new deal, even without making any major investments in his squad.

Wenger has yet to sit down for formal talks with Henry, who has just under two years left on his existing deal and - under new FIFA rules - could theoretically pay off his final year's salary to move next summer.
