Morrison insists mother and family will attend FA Cup tie
Fulham have banned all visiting clubs’ friends and family from their player’s lounge ahead of Sunday’s FA Cup tie against Birmingham, after Morrision and his mother Angela rowed with Cottager Rufus Brevett in the players bar last month.
But the Blues striker vowed that his mum Angela and other members of the Morrison clan would not intimidated and will be at the game tomorrow.
“My family will be at the game and are not going to stay away because of what happened last time.
“But I’ve told them to stay quiet in the stands and keep their heads down,” Morrison added.
Despite numerous eye witnesses, Fulham denied there was any trouble but a club spokesman said: “Passes were always discretionary and it’s been decided no more will be issued to visiting teams.”
Morrison admitted that there had been a scene but it was little more than that.
“There was no ill-feeling between the sides until the last game, when there was a bit of a commotion. Rufus came into me late, we had a little argument and he blew it out of all proportion.
“There were some verbals during the game and he couldn’t handle it. He asked me to come outside for a fight and threatened my family. I heard him say something to my sister and just flipped. I don’t appreciate that. At the end of the day my family’s my family and he was well out of order. My mother wasn’t involved and was just standing there.
“What happens on the pitch should stay there and is totally separate from real life. It’ll be a fiery atmosphere and we’re looking forward to it.”
