Betis hit with Oliveira injury

REAL BETIS striker Ricardo Oliveira will be out for four months after injuring his knee in their Champions League win over Chelsea on Tuesday.

Betis hit with Oliveira injury

“There is a fracture in the bone structure of the knee but it has not been displaced,” doctor Santiago Perez Hidalgo said.

The Brazil forward was injured in a clash with Chelsea defender Ricardo Carvalho midway through the first half in Seville.

Oliveira was Betis’s leading scorer last season with 22 league goals. His absence means former youth team player Dani, who scored the winner against Chelsea, is the only out-and-out striker left in the squad.

Club doctors added defender Nano, also injured against Chelsea could be out for five weeks with strained knee ligaments.
