WAYNE ROONEY yesterday claimed England have “a good chance” of winning the World Cup in Germany as he came face to face with the trophy for the first time - but he refused to tempt fate by taking hold of football’s biggest prize.

Rooney, star guest when the FIFA World Cup tour arrived in London, explained: “For me it’s the biggest trophy in the world and in the summer I hope to be holding it up.

“If you win the trophy obviously you should be allowed to pick it up, otherwise just leave it alone.
