Finnan injury doubt for Euro 2004 qualifiers

STEVE FINNAN is rated as extremely doubtful for the Republic of Ireland’s Euro 2004 qualifiers later this month.

The Fulham defender has fractured a rib and has been unable to train this week leading to concerns about his availability for the games against Georgia and Albania.

“Unfortunately, there is bad news to report this week because I’ve fractured one of my ribs. I picked up the injury during a behind-closed-doors friendly against West Ham ten days ago but only found out that I’d cracked a rib on Monday,” he told icons.com
