UEFA grants clubs licence to thrill in Europe

FAI Chief Executive Fran Rooney last night paid tribute to Shelbourne, Bohemians and Cork City for their work in bringing their grounds up to the standard after UEFA “A” licences were granted to them.

The stadia at Tolka Park, Dalymount Park and Turner's Cross were given the green light yesterday at a meeting of the FAI licensing appeals body and all three clubs will now be able to play their European ties at home this season.

The fourth National League team in Europe Longford Town were given permission to play their home tie at an alternative ground.
