Gunners set to delay Campbell return to action

Arsene Wenger is unlikely to gamble on the fitness of Sol Campbell ahead of tomorrow's Barclays Premiership clash with Middlesbrough at the Riverside.

Campbell, the 30-year-old England centre-back, has not featured for the first team since the 2-1 defeat by Birmingham on the final day of last season because of a calf problem, but he has now been in full training for several weeks and had two reserve run-outs during the international break.

Despite Campbell playing a full 90 minutes against Leicester and Ipswich, Wenger is determined not to take any chances.
