Benitez: Owen can come back

RAFAEL BENITEZ has left the door open for Michael Owen to make a return to Liverpool.

Owen has endured a difficult first season in Spain at Real Madrid, performing well and scoring 10 league goals but being forced to make his contribution from the fringe of the team, behind Raul and Ronaldo.

And Benitez, who went in the opposite direction last summer when he arrived in England from Valencia, believes there will always be “an option” for Owen to return.
