Roeder: Owen will be ready for Germany

ENGLAND coach Sven-Goran Eriksson has been told not to worry about Michael Owen’s injury.

Newcastle’s Owen fractured a metatarsal at Tottenham on December 31 and he underwent surgery on Friday to tighten a screw inserted into his foot in January.

But Newcastle caretaker boss Glenn Roeder is confident Owen will be ready for the World Cup finals.
