Sacchi joins Real

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez last night confirmed the appointment of Arrigo Sacchi as club manager.

With Real desperately struggling to keep up with Primera Liga pacesetters Barcelona, Perez is hoping that the former AC Milan and Atletico Madrid boss will bring some much needed experience to the Santiago Bernabeu.

Although Sacchi’s arrival appears to put more pressure on under-fire coach Mariano Garcia Remon, Perez insists that Remon is happy to work alongside the 58-year-old Italian.
