O'Neill gives strong hint of new Celtic contract

CELTIC manager Martin O'Neill has given the strongest indication yet that he is ready to sign a new contract at the club.

The Parkhead boss sat down with the board to open negotiations after the Old Firm game on October 6 and talks have continued since.

But O'Neill shrugged off suggestions of problems with the new deal by admitting he was ready to put pen to paper soon. When asked if it will happen at some point, he replied ''absolutely,'' but he admits he is becoming tired of the constant speculation.
