Kerr looks to set France date

REPUBLIC of Ireland manager Brian Kerr is hoping to set up a World Cup showdown with France.

Kerr will meet representatives from the European champions, Switzerland, Israel, Cyprus and the Faroe Islands in Dublin today to arrange the fixture schedule for World Cup qualifying Group Four.

Kerr said: “I’d like to finish the campaign with a game a home game against France.
