400 Club make bid for Rovers

THE Shamrock Rovers 400 Club have made a formal bid to Examiner Neil Hughes for the purchase of the club.

This would bring the gross investment in the Examinership process from the fans’ consortium to €500,000.

Said 400 Club chair Jonathan Roche: “We had informed the examiner at the start of this process and had tabled ‘expressions of interest’ but were outbid by a UK-based group. Every indication was that that deal would go through but once that offer was withdrawn we knew we had to act and act quickly.
