Curbishley warns of television ‘overkill’

CHARLTON manager Alan Curbishley maintains the Premier League must change with the times to prevent “overkill” caused by saturation television coverage.

A fall in ticket sales for most matches involving Premiership clubs, both in the league and at some European ties, has dominated recent debate.

Spiralling players’ wages and movement of kick-off times in a league which has lost its competitive edge are some of the reasons being put forward as to why supporters are starting to turn away.
