Gold plays peacemaker in Savage transfer saga

DAVID GOLD has insisted “the door is still ajar” for Robbie Savage to have a future at Birmingham City if he decides to withdraw his transfer request.

Gold wants Blues fans to show tolerance towards the want-away midfielder and claimed: “Robbie hasn’t become a bad guy overnight.”

Gold is trying to act as peacemaker and come up with a way of resolving the saga so the Welsh international remains with the Blues until at least the end of the campaign.
