Mourinho confident despite sleepless nights
Mourinho watched his side briefly move 10 points clear at the top of the Barclays Premiership with a magnificent 4-1 victory over West Ham before United reduced the gap to seven once more by beating Arsenal at Old Trafford.
Chelsea overcame the double blow of a being a goal down in the 11th minute and losing Maniche to a red card for a lunge on Lionel Scaloni five minutes later, to crush the Hammers.
Two goals in three minutes from Didier Drogba (28) and Hernan Crespo (30) were backed by second half strikes from captain John Terry (53) and William Gallas (69).
It put the Chelsea's fans in dreamland as Mourinho's men continue to chase back-to-back Premiership titles and the Portuguese coach admits he finds it hard to sleep at the moment.
"After a game I don't sleep well, whether we win or whether we lose," revealed Mourinho. "Before the game I sleep like a child, every game.
"After the game we have the same routine, me and my assistants and our wives, we go for dinner, always. We don't talk about the game really. It is a good moment, a good space.
"After that we go home and it is not easy to sleep. I don't go to bed early and I think.
"If I have a recording of the game, I watch the game. If I don't have the game I watch TV.
"I like to see the games from other countries. I like to see Portuguese football, Spanish football, German football I like to see what is happening in other championships."
Meanwhile Mourinho has revealed how he has abandoned giving his first-half team notes to fans at Stamford Bridge in case they end up being sold on the internet.
The former Porto coach was seen tearing up a notebook in frustration near the end of their recent home game against Manchester City.
When he was a manager in Portugal, Mourinho used to sign the books and hand them to fans as he went down the tunnel but he is frightened of doing it in England.
"The book is a book for the first-half only where I write during the first-half to have structure for my talk with the players at half-time," explained Mourinho. "It is abook I don't use in the second-half. At the end of the game I always throw it away, normally to the garbage.
"In Porto I used to sign it and as I walked to the tunnel, throw it to the crowd at the end of the game. Here I don't do that because I'm afraid you will be able to buy it on the internet!"
Meanwhile skipper John Terry, who scored the decisive third against the Hammers, hailed their stunning performance as one to remember.
"It was probably one of the best this season," said Terry. "We were fantastic after Maniche got sent off, especially being one goal down.
"The lads realised what we had to do and I thought we were fantastic as a team and individuals. I thought Didier Drogba was superb. His was one of the best performances I've seen from the lads this year. Individually he was first class, he scored a great goal and his work rate was fantastic. The fans love him and so do we.
"The pressure was on us but we wanted to start well and we did that. But then Maniche got sent off, which was a bit unlucky I thought, and we had to pick ourselves up.
