Hasselbaink wants out of Chelski
The Holland hot-shot has had to share striking responsibilities with Hernan Crespo, Eidur Gudjohnsen and Adrian Mutu this term and Hasselbaink’s declarations are the first sign that the size of the squad, and sheer talent available to Ranieri, is beginning to have some impact and strain on player morale.
“I have stated that I prefer a move away,” Hasselbaink said. “We don’t have to compete with each other. He (Ranieri) is substituting a lot. If you play well, you could still be on the bench in the next match.
“The result is you cannot get into a rhythm, and you see that now.
“I have said I would like to leave the club if I can’t play every week,” he said. “However, they don’t want to co-operate.”
