Celtic consider move for striker Amoroso
The striker, who is a free agent, has arrived at Parkhead for a trial and is expected to train with the first team over the next few days.
Amoroso left Borussia Dortmund under a cloud earlier in the season when his contract was terminated, with the German club criticising him for showing a “lack of respect to his employer”.
Bolton have already been linked with the player.
The 29-year-old cost Dortmund £18m in July 2001 when he moved from Parma, who had bought him from Udinese two years previously.
Amoroso angered Dortmund by returning late from Brazil and on one occasion accused the club’s medical staff of mis-diagnosing an injury. The striker underwent a knee operation in the US earlier in the year.
Dortmund were keen to get rid of him, especially but covered themselves with a compensation clause should he join another German club.
