Hatters move 10 points clear

RUNAWAY Coca-Cola League One leaders Luton chalked up their sixth straight home win - 3-0 over Hartlepool - to move 10 points clear at the top.

Striker Steve Howard headed in his sixth goal of the season in the 36th minute to give the Hatters an undeserved lead after a first-half dominated by the visitors.

But Ahmet Brkovic followed up a Rowan Vine shot six minutes into the second-half to double the advantage - and then substitute Gary McSheffrey made it three six minutes from time to confirm his team’s 10th win of a campaign in which they have so far dropped only four points.
