Parker sings Blues’ praises as he takes his chance at Blackburn

SCOTT PARKER has insisted that he had never thought about quitting Chelsea, despite failing to earn a regular place in Jose Mourinho’s title-chasing side.

The 24-year-old made his first Premiership start of the season in the 4-0 demolition of a poor Blackburn side on Saturday.

Parker was finally given his chance because Claude Makelele was sidelined on the morning of the game with a high temperature.
