Anelka apology

Nicolas Anelka has delivered a public apology to France coach Jacques Santini, a year and four months after refusing to play for the national team in a friendly match against Yugoslavia.

Hoping to win a recall in time to play at Euro 2004, the Manchester City striker admitted that he was in the wrong when making a public attack against Santini after declining the chance to face the Yugoslavians in November 2002.
