Mayfield at full strength to face Rangers

MAYFIELD will be at full strength for tonight’s Permanent tsb Cork IFC replay against Carbery Rangers at Newcestown (7.30pm) and that will be a welcome boost against last year’s junior county champions.

Trevor Daly and Eoin Crowley are back from injury while Dan Lucey’s suspension is over. Team coach Mick Hannon - himself a great servant of the club and a county senior player back in the 1980s - will be looking for a big improvement from his charges, particularly in their finishing.

The Rangers will again start as favourites on the strength of their county junior victory in 2003 and subsequent Munster success. However a lot will hinge on senior inter-county man Kevin McMahon who is still troubled with a shoulder injury.
