Benitez convinced Gerrard will stay

LIVERPOOL captain Steven Gerrard has told manager Rafael Benitez he wants to stay at Anfield.

There has been speculation about the future of the 24-year-old midfielder, who has made it clear he wants to play for a club capable of challenging for top honours.

Benitez wants Gerrard to achieve his goals at Liverpool and would be happy for the England player to stay at Anfield for 10 years.
