Benitez confident Reds are up to the test

RAFAEL BENITEZ insists his Liverpool side have the strength of character to cope with the pressures of trying to overhaul Everton and steal the final Champions League spot.

But he knows, too, that Liverpool have blown three glorious chances in recent weeks to significantly cut Everton’s lead.

The missed opportunities have left Liverpool seven points adrift when the plan was to be coming into this derby needing to win to overtake Everton.
