Gallas happy to be jack of all trades

The Frenchman, who has been consistently linked with a move to Juventus, was thought to have been unhappy at not being able to play in his more accustomed role at the centre of the defence. But with Mourinho favouring his the pairing of captain John Terry and Ricardo Carvalho, Gallas has been forced to fill in at right and left-back as well as covering for any injuries to the first-choice duo.

Serie A pacesetters Juventus have conceded they are admirers of the 28-year-old and with talks over an extension to his existing contract due to begin in the summer, the former Marseille man has moved to allay fears that he will be moving on because he cannot play where he wants to.
