Ben Haim theatrics a disgrace: Ferguson

ALEX FERGUSON has branded Tal Ben Haim a disgrace and claimed the furore surrounding Wayne Rooney should not be allowed to mask the Bolton defender’s attempt to get the England striker sent off.

In the aftermath of Manchester United’s 2-0 win at Old Trafford yesterday, Ferguson claimed Haim’s reaction to Rooney’s shove in the face was “an embarrassment”.

Even Bolton boss Sam Allardyce admitted the Israeli had gone too far in collapsing to the ground and rolling around clutching his face when TV replays proved contact between the pair had been minimal.
