Kennedy has no fears of operation

CELTIC defender John Kennedy has said he has no fears about the operation that is set to save his career.

Kennedy has no fears of operation

The 20-year-old was on a high in March when he made his senior Scotland debut just days after starring in a UEFA Cup success in Barcelona.

A reckless tackle from Romania’s Vio Ganea left him with cruciate ligament damage.

Kennedy has already undergone one operation, which was performed by renowned surgeon Richard Steadman, and he returns to America for a second next month.

Kennedy said: “Funnily enough, I’m not nervous this time. I know what it is like now and Dr Steadman is a really nice guy so it is easy for me to be relaxed.”
