James still in Pole position

DAVID JAMES has revealed the “cold” lonely feeling he experienced after his blunder cost England two points in Saturday’s World Cup qualifier against Austria in Vienna.

But the Manchester City goalkeeper has vowed to shut the disappointment out and not let it affect him in Wednesday’s must-win game in Poland.

England had been cruising to victory after leading 2-0 with 20 minutes to go but then James was beaten by a Roland Kollmann free-kick before allowing a low shot from Andreas Ivanschitz to squirm under his body for the equaliser in three madcap minutes.
