Spurs sweat on outcome of Mido red card appeal

TOTTENHAM striker Mido will know today if the club’s appeal against his Chelsea red card is successful.

Spurs have appealed against the decision by Rob Styles to dismiss the Egypt international for an alleged elbow on Blues left-back Asier Del Horno during their 2-0 defeat at White Hart Lane on Saturday.

Mido is hoping the Football Association disciplinary commission will drop the charges but there remains the possibility the striker could be banned for four games and not the automatic three because he failed to leave the pitch immediately.
