Rebrov set for Tottenham return
“There is an outside chance I will stay, but that will only happen if Fenerbahce buy my contract,” he told Russian newspaper Sport-Express.
“Compared to Glenn Hoddle, who was prejudiced against me, David Pleat has indicated he is counting on my return.”
The Ukraine striker was signed from Dynamo Kiev by then-manager George Graham in an £11m five-year deal in June 2000.
He scored just 16 goals before being offloaded to the Turkish side in a loan deal in January 2003.
But the 29-year-old striker insisted he was good for a few more years.
“I’m not ready to retire just yet,” he said.
