Scotland set up date with Swiss

SCOTLAND manager Walter Smith has moved quickly to build on the impressive victory in Slovenia by arranging a friendly with Switzerland at Hampden Park in March.

Smith’s side ended their failed World Cup qualifying campaign in some style with a 3-0 success thanks to wonder goals from Darren Fletcher, James McFadden and Paul Hartley.

The match on March 1 next year will form part of Scotland’s preparations for the Euro 2008 qualification campaign, which the Swiss will co-host along with Austria.
