Ireland acquitted themselves well against their full-time opponents, but Turkey were clinical, scoring with a well-worked move on nine minutes.

Shelbourne’s James Chambers and Arsenal’s Anthony Stokes both went close with second-half efforts. Ireland face the Turks again tomorrow.
