Kavanagh targets end of season return at Ipswich

CARDIFF skipper Graham Kavanagh has targeted the final game of the season at Ipswich on May 9 for an unexpected return from injury.

The 30-year-old midfielder has been sidelined for a monthand the first division play-off chasing Bluebirds officially announced he had been ruled out for the season.

However, the injury has responded well to treatment with Kavanagh admitting he is desperate to play to stake a claim for inclusion in the Republic of Ireland squad for the friendlies against Romania at Lansdowne Road and Holland in Amsterdam.
