We must win all our games, says Keane

ROY KEANE has told his Manchester United team-mates to raise their game and win every league match between now and the end of the season.

We must win all our games, says Keane

With Arsenal consolidating their position at the top by whipping Manchester City yesterday, United are now five points adrift in the title race.

Curiously, manager Alex Ferguson has seen his side stumble to teams in the bottom half of the league like Bolton, who are desperate to maintain their top-flight status.

After the excellent victory over Juventus in the Champions League, United lost their way at the Reebok Stadium.

It is a situation Old Trafford captain Keane is anxious to remedy in the coming weeks.

"In the Premiership you can't take things for granted but we will look back at only taking one point from Bolton over two games," he said.

"At this stage of the season we need to win every game to keep the pressure on Arsenal. We made that many mistakes early in the season we can't afford any more," he said.

Keane had a chance to pull United level after the opening goal from Bruno N'Gotty at the Reebok but scuffed a shot from four yards.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer salvaged a point in the last minute with his 13th goal of the season following a delightful cross from David Beckham.

Keane said: "I should have scored, but these things happen some time. Apart from my chance we didn't create much. That was disappointing.

"All we can do is work as hard as ever and, we hope, put it right. At least we kept going and got something out of the game. That's the one plus, I suppose."

It was hardly the result United wanted as they prepare for their Champions League match with Juventus in Italy tomorrow. Ferguson has defensive problems ahead of that game.

He has already ruled out Wes Brown, who picked up a hamstring injury on Saturday. Mikael Silvestre is also sidelined with an ankle injury, while Paul Scholes remains doubtful with a groin strain.

Ferguson has indicated John O'Shea will partner Rio Ferdinand in the middle, with Phil Neville coming in at left-back.

"Obviously my main priority is to try and get a team ready for Tuesday," said the United boss.

Ferguson concedes United cannot afford any more slip-ups if they are to have any hope of catching Arsenal.

"I always feel there are mistakes made, and you get results you are not quite expecting," he said.

"It happens during the run-in, but the rest will do that too. We need wins but we will see what happens in the next few weeks."

He believes Bolton have enough about them to secure their status.

"I have to say Bolton were the better team. They played some excellent stuff," he said."

Bolton have developed a habit of conceding crucial late goals, and manager Sam Allardyce knows it could prove costly come May.

"We are showing how to shoot yourself in the foot on a regular basis in the last minute of a match," he said.

"It's total dejection. We didn't see this game out. If we don't eradicate this soon it is going to cost us a place in the Premiership. That's how serious it is," he said.
