Wenger puts faith in Arsenal patience

ARSENE WENGER insists Arsenal have the self-belief and experience to finally make the breakthrough in the Champions League this season.

However, he warned his attack-minded side that defensive solidity, especially in the absence of Sol Campbell, would be the key in their opening group game against PSV Eindhoven tomorrow night.

Arsenal have so far failed to make it past the quarter-finals of the competition, losing at that stage to Valencia in 2001 and Chelsea last season.
