Janas names Polish squad

POLISH coach Pawel Janas has named nine players from foreign clubs and 13 from domestic teams in his squad to face Ireland in Bydgoszcz tomorrow.

Returning after extended breaks due to injury are Wisla Krakow sweeper Arkadiusz Glowacki and Panathinaikos Athens striker Emmanuel Olisadebe, both stalwarts of the side who qualified for the 2002 World Cup finals.

The only debutant is 20-year-old Legia Warsaw goalkeeper Artur Boruc.

Defenders: Rzasa (Partisan Belgrade), Bak (RC Lens), Hajto (Schalke 04), Zewlakow (Anderlecht), Glowacki, Klos (Wisla Krakow), Kaczorowski, Bosacki (Lech Poznan)

Midfielders: Lewandowski (Shakhtar Donetsk), Krzynowek (FC Nuremberg), Kosowski (FC Kaiserslautern), Radomski (SC Heerenveen), Smolarek (Feyenoord), Gorawski, Szymkowiak (Wisla Krakow), Mila (Groclin Grodzisk)

Forwards: Olisadebe (Panathinaikos), Niedzielan (NEC Nijmegen), Zurawski (Wisla Krakow), Rasiak (Groclin Grodzisk).
