Managing England interests Allardyce

SAM ALLARDYCE wants to keep himself in the frame for when the England job is available - with the Bolton boss insisting it is a “myth” that foreign managers are better.

Allardyce has forged a superb reputation at the Reebok Stadium by taking his club into Europe, and he has been linked with the national job when Sven-Goran Eriksson eventually stands down.

“If people consider me for it, yes, I would be very interested indeed,” he said.
