Clough: Mourinho is ‘young Brian Clough’

CHELSEA boss Jose Mourinho has been hailed as a “young Brian Clough” by the former Notts Forest manager in one of his last interviews.

Clough, who died last week, won two European Cups with Forest, a similar achievement to that of Porto last season, when Mourinho led the Portuguese underdogs to the Champions League, 12 months after lifting the UEFA Cup.

In a recent interview with the official Champions League magazine, Clough said: “I like the look of Mourinho, there’s a bit of the young Clough about him. For a start, he’s good-looking and, like me, he doesn’t believe in the star system.
