Domenech considers London reunion

France coach Raymond Domenech is considering inviting his players for a day in London around Christmas to maintain the team's cohesion during the long break between the 2006 World Cup qualifiers.

"We are thinking about organising a team meeting during the winter break," he confirmed yesterday.

“Why not a day in London ?”, he added after admitting it would be very difficult to call such a meeting in France “because English clubs play nearly every day including on Christmas Day”.

Five of the French starting line-up on Wednesday are English-based, four of them in London.

The French coach’s main concern is to keep his team's spirit and cohesion until they resume their World Cup campaign on March 26 with a match in Israel.
