“We have lost six points which will matter at the end of the season,” said Luxemburgo. “They scored two goals from setpieces, we will have to be more attentive in the next game. The team’s attitude wasn’t right and I think we could have done more.
“You have to go out giving it everything. We can’t stay back against a team that is strong. We should have put them under more pressure.”
He was unwilling to blame the injuries that have sidelined Ronaldo, Julio Cesar Baptista and Michel Salgado.
“At the start of the season, we knew we were going to have players out, but other teams also miss players,” he said. “We have to fight and battle and not look for excuses.”
