Souness says boos are no good for Newcastle’s cause

NEWCASTLE boss Graeme Souness has promised an “intelligent” response to his tactical dilemma in a rebuke to his critics.

His team were booed off against Charlton on Saturday when a 1-1 draw further undermined the Magpies’ prospects of qualifying for Europe.

Souness has taken those members of his squad not on international duty this week to Dubai for a mid-season training camp.
