Hartley keen to staynat impressive Jambos

Hearts 4 Hibernian 0

The midfielder has been linked with a move to Celtic but he has expressed a desire to commit his future to Hearts after helping them beat Hibernian 4-0 yesterday.

Hartley said: "Hopefully we're getting nearer to getting things sorted. I know where my future lies and hopefully the club will come back with an offer that I deserve."

Manager George Burley added: "From day one I made a point of speaking to the Scotland internationals. The club are desperate to keep the Scottish boys and hopefully they will be at the club for a long time."

Burley is also looking to strengthen his team which looked impressive against their city rivals. Goals from Rudi Skacel, Hartley, Stephen Simmons and Saulius Mikoliunas gave rampant Hearts a comprehensive win.

Hibernian skipper Gary Caldwell was taken to hospital with suspected broken ribs to compound their misery.
