CELTIC midfielder Neil Lennon has urged both Old Firm giants to step up the fight to beat the bigotry which has blighted Scottish football.

The Irishman retired from international football after receiving a death threat and was also attacked in Glasgow last season while four Rangers players, including Barry Ferguson, were set upon in a summer incident.

Lennon has responded by calling on Glasgow’s big two to step up their crusade to reduce tensions.
