Hitch in Campo move

BOLTON’S hopes of signing defender Ivan Campo on a permanent basis stalled last night after a problem was found during the Spaniard’s medical.

The Real Madrid player spent last season on loan at the Reebok Stadium and manager Sam Allardyce had hoped to unveil him as a Bolton player last night.

But the club have had to put the permanent move on hold for in order to have further investigation into the problem.
