Lansdowne date for Stokes

DUBLINER Ian Stokes will take charge of the Carlsberg FAI Cup Final between Cork City and Drogheda United at Lansdowne Road on December 4, it was announced yesterday.

Stokes began refereeing in 1992 and progressed to the eircom League panel in 1998.

He is on FIFA’s list since 2004. He has refereed numerous UEFA games including Champions League Qualifying games, Intertoto, Under 17 and 19 tournaments and refereed two World Cup Qualifying games in September. David Wogan and John Peter Kelly will assist. The 4th Official will be Declan Hanney.
