Everton can strengthen top three position, says Carsley

EVERTON’S unsung hero Lee Carsley believes the Christmas programme is the ideal opportunity for the Toffees to reinforce their place in the Premiership top three.

Carsley has been instrumental in Everton’s midfield alongside Thomas Gravesen and the Republic of Ireland international is relishing the forthcoming flurry of matches.

Aware of the small squad manager David Moyes has to work with, Carsley still feels that Everton’s confidence and fitness will see them take a major points haul from their congested programme to firmly establish themselves as potential Champions League qualifiers.
