Toon will not risk Dyer

GLENN ROEDER has vowed not to rush Kieron Dyer back to action following the midfielder’s return to fitness.

The 27-year-old has missed Newcastle’s last three games courtesy of familiar hamstring trouble.

“Kieron came out and did some ball work with us on Monday and it was great to see him back on the training ground,” Roeder said. “But it is still early days for him yet and the only thing we can say is that there is no way we are going to rush him back.”
