Moyes denies Everton are targeting Healy
Moyes said: “Colin is a player we are interested in, but I have seen reports saying we are about to pay £300,000 for his services, which is completely incorrect.
“I have had one conversation with his agent and that is it.”
Moyes is considering a move for Egyptian international defender Ibrahim Said.
Said spent two weeks on trial at Goodison Park during the summer and Moyes is thinking over a move for the right-sided defender.
The 23-year-old is with Cairo-based club Al Ahli as Moyes could not move for him in the summer after signing Joseph Yobo, Richard Wright, Rodrigo, Li Tie and Li Wei Feng.
But Moyes, who has renewed his interest in Said, declared: “We are talking to his agent about the possibility of him coming to join us in January.”
Another potential signing, Senegal midfielder Pape Sarr, has returned to French club Lens after completing a trial at Goodison.
Danny Mills, meanwhile, has opened talks with Leeds over a new five-year contract, his advisor has revealed.
The England full-back, who scored the opening goal in Monday’s 3-0 win at Bolton, has two and a half years to run on his current deal but will be due a new deal upon earning his next international cap.
Mills’ advisor Neil Featherby has held preliminary talks with the club over a new deal and chairman Peter Ridsdale is currently considering what package to offer the 25-year-old.
Featherby said: “We’ve had initial talks with the chairman with reference to a new contract for Danny and I would like to think they were positive.
“Now Peter Ridsdale has gone away to digest what we have put to him and the ball is in his court now.
“We will wait for him to come back to us.”
